Grant Gustin has written an open letter to his fan base thanking them for the support on the first season of "The Flash."

The letter spoke about the final episode, which premieres on Tuesday and ends the run of a very successful series. He said, "It's happening, guys. The finale is finally here. THIS TUESDAY. It was a long, emotional season and it's all about to come to an end. Well, there will be some closure at least. It is the season finale of The Flash after all.. it can't be ALL sunshine and smiles. You'll just have to come back for season 2."

He also thanked the cast for the support and added that the team inspired him. "I especially love our cast. Jesse, Tom, Candice, Danielle, Los & Pretty Ricky."

He concluded his letter by stating, "I apologize for the ramble. Thank you for putting up with it if you made it through all of my poor grammar and absurd train of thought. Point is...thank you & watch the season finale please." The letter showcased Gustin as a very humble actor who has garnered a great deal of support throughout the season.

"The Flash" has become one of the best-reviewed shows on Television and it has also shown another avenue for superhero franchises. The Flash has already inspired DC Comics to do a spin-off show and Marvel has also followed the TV model. Marvel recently released "Daredevil" on Netflix. Unsurprisingly, like "The Flash," that series has also become very popular.

The finale, which airs on Tuesday, is expected to reunite the Flash with a number of superheroes including Arrow. The finale promises to showcases a lot of action and also is said to leave the series in a cliffhanger.

CW has already ordered a second season and while there is no date yet, it is likely the next season will air next year.
