Just as on the first season of "The Flash," Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) have proven to be quite an uneasy alliance, constantly putting a stick into whatever plans Barry Allen had for or with them, according to IGN.

This also begs the question as to how they are going to get along when the new spinoff series, "Legends of Tomorrow," debuts next winter on the CW. The alliance will certainly make for some roughhouse style mashups between the two. This could also be heavily influenced by the betrayal of Leonard Snart after he showed his true colors.

There are a few things to remember, though. Even though this series spinoff will walk in the shadows of "The Flash" and "Arrow," both of which will be debuting in the fall ahead of "Legends of Tomorrow" winter mid-season premiere, there will be more content from those shows that will carry over into the spinoff. This content will also include guest spot roles on the two shows and other details that may add to the plot of "Legends of Tomorrow."

Cold and Heat both had recurring guest roles on "The Flash" and that is an obvious setup for their main roles on "Legends of Tomorrow." So Wentworth Miller fielded a few questions from IGN, in particular on how they will function on a team of superheroes.

"I am not sure, entirely," Wentworth Miller told IGN. "My hope is that Captain Cold gets to keep his edge, his humor. But it's not a total surprise to me that he is working with these good guys, or is prepared to work with these good guys. He does have a heart, and I think we see that in the relationship with his sister. So it's not out of the question that he might do something good for a change."

The rest of the team includes White Canary (Caity Lotz), The Atom (Brandon Routh), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber), who will have to work through their issues with the two characters as well, given that there is bound to be a lot of distrust for them.
