Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams appear to have developed a friendship, two years after the players figured in a minor altercation after the National Football Conference wild card playoff game. The National Football League stars were spotted together at an event.

The on-field post game quarrel was uploaded on YouTube as seen below.

NFL.com explained details of the incident as seen from a footage provided by KCPQ-TV in Seattle that time. The Hawks' CB approached Washington's Kedric Golston while saying "Hell of a game, boy, way to work out there."

Then, Williams approached Sherman, who then said, "What you gon' do, boy?" to which Williams replied with "I'm gonna punch you in yo' (expletive) face."

The Seattle team's cornerback, who was not wearing any helmet that instance, said, "Go on and do it then, boy," and the punching soon followed. Other players were then seen trying their best not to let the matter escalate. The California-born football player who may have been shocked and also hurt by the hit just raised his hands in the air and laughed. Sherman was also heard "He punched me in the face... I didn't do nothing, he came on to me."

But even if he was hit by the Redskins' tackle, the Stanford-graduate and energetic cornerback stated that he actually understood the act. Still, he did not deny that it was uncalled for.

"It's just a dirty move by Trent Williams, that's all it was. I could understand why he's frustrated. It's the end of their season. They played a solid game, but (that was) just a cheap shot, " Sherman told The Seattle Times two years ago.

On the other hand, Williams must have realized that he had done something wrong just minutes after the incident.

"Just high emotions, man. I let them get the best of me. It's nobody's fault but mine. I've got to calm down a little bit."

Trent was also penalized for his off behavior that night with a fine of a relatively small amount of $7,875, noted NBC Sports.

Now, everything seems to be under the bridge as the players seemed to have really reconciled after that intense night, reported Washington Post.

Williams posted an image on his Twitter account showing him and Sherman present in the same event this weekend.

"Great weekend at the @Nike opening and kicking it with @RSherman_25. Great dude. No people we're not beefing lol."

This friendship between the two may continue down the road, based on Sherman's reply.
