'Transformers 4' Release Date & Cast Update: Top 3 Movie Secrets From the New Trailer
The upcoming movie's 35-second Super Bowl advert did more than just thrill NFL fans. Instead, the advertisement hinted on what's to come with the fourth installment of the 'Transformers' franchise.
The first "transformer" in the advert which caught the attention of viewers was a gun-crazed type which Entertainment Weekly guesses as Galvatron. However, users Mikaela Hiatt and Colt r have both commented on the Transformers 4 ad's page on Youtube that the gun-face and gun-wielding transformer is in fact, Lockdown. According to https://tfwiki.net/, Lockdown is actually a bounty hunter initially hired by Megatron.
Speaking of Megatron, the Decepticon leader seems to have come back from the dead. A Megatron-looking transformer with a cool blue lining is seen chopping down a red car in the Transformers 4 Super Bowl advert.
An emerald-colored transformer in a parachute came next which Entertainment Weekly bets as Crosshairs. According to the EW report, the paratrooper-bot matches the Corvette Stingray concept car spotted on the Transformers 4 set which was said to be an Autobot called Crosshairs.
Finally, Optimus Prime is seen apparently riding Grimlock, the powerful Autobot which https://tfwiki.net/ defines as one who struggles with his pronouns despite his strength and prowess.
'Transformers: Age of Extinction' stars Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz who play as father and daughter characters Cade and Tessa Yeager. Wahlberg, whose film character is a mechanic, found out a way to bring down Autobots and Decepticons.
Unlike past 'Transformers' actors Shia LaBeouf and Josh Duhamel who will no longer reprise their roles, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime will still be part of the Transformers 4 cast. New Autobots Hound, Drift and Crosshairs will also be featured in the new Transformers movie along with new Decepticons Galvatron, Cyclonus, Lockdown, Stinger, and others.
The much-awaited film is scheduled to play in theaters June 27, 2014, says IMDb. For the meantime, watch the film's first trailer in the video below.
