Phil Coulson's organization will be dealing with more challenges this Season 3 in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as another group is also searching for the gifted individuals called Inhumans and the possibility of Hydra gaining strength through Grant Ward.

In last season's finale, Coulson (Clark Gregg) told Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) that their next mission is finding these Inhumans anonymously.

Recently, Spoiler TV published a synopsis for the upcoming season, which confirms "the rise of a new government organization that will go toe-to-toe with S.H.I.E.L.D." that probably has the same mission. The group is called the Advanced Threat Containment Unit (ATCU), which will be led by a "mysterious" yet "highly-skilled" woman (Constance Zimmer) whose partner, Banks, (Andrew Howard), is described as "intimidating." Whether they are a threat or not still remains to be seen.

Aside from the entry of ATCU into the series' plot, viewers will see more Inhumans next season. An Inhuman called Lash, to be portrayed by former NFL player Matthew Willig, will be featured as someone who has a "monstrous" form and with questionable "loyalty." An image of Lash is shown on ComicBook.com, where the beastly creature is further noted to have the "ability to absorb and expel energy," aside from having great strength and agility.

Elizabeth Henstridge who is playing Jemma Simmons is excited for Lash's appearance on the show, Zap2it reported.

"He's going to shake things up. It's going to be a huge spectacle... I can't even explain how crazy it's going to get," Henstridge said.

Another Inhuman named Joey, who needs help in controlling his gifts, is set to enter the ABC series through Spanish actor Juan Pablo Raba.

Spoiler TV noted that Ward (Brett Dalton) aims to "take down Coulson and S.H.I.E.L.D." as his "personal mission," as seen on the last season's finale when he was gathering a team of his own and stands up to become a leader. Does this mean Hydra is on the rise again?

Although Ward is collecting his own people, it may probably take a while, basing on Henstridge's statements. Yet, Ward's move definitely spells big trouble.

"Hydra's different this time. It's been completely dismantled, and Ward's kind of taking it on. He's got huge scores to settle and nothing to lose, so he's a very dangerous character," Henstridge shared.

Still, per the synopsis, Coulson's agency is set to transform its team into something "stronger than ever before" so it will be prepared for its mission of "protecting the innocent."

So, will fans still be shipping Daisy and Ward?
