Lady Gaga Talks 'American Horror Story' on 'Tonight Show,' Tells Jimmy Fallon Horror Relaxes Her
Lady Gaga stopped by the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Tuesday to discuss her forthcoming appearance on "American Horror Story: Hotel."
The 29-year-old "Just Dance" singer appeared on the late night talk show to talk about her foray into the acting world and how her love of horror calms her, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"Dangerous things and horror relaxes me," Gaga told Fallon. "It really freaks out my friends a lot. It particularly freaks out my fiancé quite a bit as well."
The singer, known as Mother Monster, rattled off a list of television shows she thoroughly enjoys, including "Dateline," "Snapped" and "The Jinx." Gaga said she overcomes the fear normally created by watching the killers on these shows by thinking about their convictions.
Such shows also gave her inspiration for the upcoming season of "American Horror Story."
Commenting on Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's creation, the singer said she loves "the dichotomy of sex and horror at the same time," which she can relate to.
"I'm used to that," Gaga said. "That sounds a lot like my life."
She also discussed with Fallon how being a pop star has helped pave the way for her entrance into the realm of acting.
Murphy recently offered Gaga a part in the next season of the series, if it doesn't interfere with her possible role in the film "Gypsy" alongside Barbra Streisand.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on FX. Additional cast members for this season include Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Max Greenfield, Naomi Campbell, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Darren Criss.
Gaga released her last album, "ARTPOP," on Nov. 6, 2013. The album produced the three singles "Applause," "Do What U Want" and "G.U.Y."
