Justin Bieber Releases New Song ‘Strong’ Featuring Selena Gomez
Justin Bieber dropped his new song "Strong" on Saturday, featuring vocals from his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
The 21-year-old "What Do You Mean?" singer's new track premiered on OVO Sound Radio over the weekend, according to Billboard.
Every two weeks, Drake has released surprise records from his Beats 1 radio station. On the latest episode, producer Nineteen85, who is known for his work on the rapper's "Hotline Bling," dropped the Bieber and Gomez duet.
The singers trade off vocals in the song, which describes a couple who wish they could resolve their problems in order to continue with their relationship.
"What should I do? Should I go? Who do I talk to? Nobody knows," asks Bieber in the song, while Selena responds, "Wishing I was better at this damn thing 'cause it's just been too long and I can't change."
It is not clear whether this new track will be included on Bieber's forthcoming album "Purpose." There will, however, be collaborations with Nas, Travis Scott, Big Sean, Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande. The album, which is the follow-up to 2012's "Believe" and the singer's fourth studio album, has already garnered the singles "What Do You Mean?" and "Sorry."
Gomez just released her second solo album "Revival," on Friday, Oct. 9. So far it's produced the singles "Good for You" and "Same Old Love."
Bieber and Gomez began dating in December 2010, but by January 2013 the pair had reportedly broken up.
In other news, Bieber said his father Jeremy Bieber's reaction to his son's nude photos in Bora Bora was "hilarious," according to Us Weekly.
"@justinbieber what do you feed that thing. #proud daddy," Jeremy first wrote in a now-deleted post. He later posted another photo of a puppy and wrote, "He's a beaut."
While talking with the "Zach Sang & The Gang" radio show, the singer said of his father's remarks, "It's such a dad thing to say. When I found out people were hating on him for saying that, I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' What dad wouldn't be proud of that? It's not like he's saying it to an 11-year-old. I'm 21 years old."
Bieber's upcoming album, "Purpose," is due out on Friday, Nov. 13.
