Motorola has announced that it has finished testing and preparations for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (a.k.a. Style) smartphones in the U.S. Third generation Moto X users on Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, or U.S. Cellular should begin receiving OTA update notifications immediately, according to Motorola's official announcement.
With a leaked picture showing a soak test in the U.S., it looks like in 2015 Motorola's Moto X Pure Edition is right on track to get an official OTA rollout of Google's latest, Android Marshmallow, before any other manufacturers' update release dates hit.
A software product director at Motorola Mobility stated that the Android 6.0 update for T-Mobile's version of the Moto X Pure Edition will include support for LTE band 12.
