Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Playfully Avoid Dating Questions in Joint Interview
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton recently playfully dodge questions about their romance during a joint interview.
While the 46-year-old "Hollaback Girl" singer and 39-year-old country singer have made their relationship known, they still become a little caught off guard when asked about it, according to Us Weekly.
The interview took place on the "Today" show with Natalie Morales when all four judges on "The Voice," which included Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams, sat down with her to talk about Season 9 of the singing reality TV competition.
"Gwen and Blake, of course we all know what's going on with you guys," Morales said. "Is it good to just be out in the open now?"
After being asked this question, silence followed from both Shelton and Stefani, until Shelton broke it with a laugh. Then Williams commented by saying, "Nice segue," but it was Levine who actually killed the awkwardness of the situation.
"Next question! Next question, please!" Levine said. "Ask the next question before it gets awkward!"
While Shelton and Stefani seemed hesitant to talk about their new relationship, the group was willing to discuss the bromance between Shelton and Levine.
"I hate his stupid face," Levine joked.
Morales proceeded to ask Levine what song reminded him of Shelton and he answered with, "You know that song 'That Smell?'" referring to Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1977 song. "Or what about 'Lick It Up?'" he added, referencing the 1983 track by KISS.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Shelton also has another bromance with Luke Bryan.
"He doesn't want me to hug her or anything," Bryan said referring to Stefani. "He doesn't want me to meet her. My stepmother is an optometrist and I'm trying to get Gwen an appointment with her."
Shelton and Stefani split from their spouses, Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, respectively, over the summer. The couple announced they were dating last month breaking the news to Us Weekly.
"The Voice" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
