DC's ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Releases New Trailer [Watch]
When it comes to DC superhero shows, none is quite as anticipated as "Legends of Tomorrow" on The CW network. The show has now released a new teaser, primed to get fans really motivated for the upcoming series.
According to Deadline, the new video is a clear indication that showrunners are sparing no expense on the latest project in the evolving franchise, which started with "Arrow" and "The Flash" on the network.
There were, of course, a couple of DC Comics-based shows that predated the universe on The CW, like "Birds of Prey" and "Smallville." But the current crop of series has divested itself from those earlier iterations. The CW shows have together formed a whole new canon, with producers reaching deep into the DC Comic vault and pulling out some of the best content and characters.
In the newly released trailer for "Legends of Tomorrow," stars Caity Lotz (The White Canary), Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave) and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) go looking for trouble in a bar, and they certainly find it.
The teaser starts off with Lotz doing a dance while grungy-looking bikers behind her at the bar watch in lustful wonder. Then, of course, a man approaches her with a proposition to engage in further activity in the parking lot.
Lotz's character hastily turns him down, instead optioning for his girlfriend who was riding a mechanical bull. That really got the man's fire going, and he seemed to be primed to use force, if necessary, to get her outside.
Purcell and Miller's characters clearly want to jump in, but Lotz playfully tells them that she has it covered. She then gives the man a beat down with her own bare hands. This shatters the man's pride and shocks his biker friends, and a barroom brawl soon ensues with all three characters laying the smackdown on the hefty thugs.
