Huawei will begin selling the Mate 9 in America right after the holiday season with its January 6. The excitement is much heightened considering rumors the superb internal specifications of the Huawei Mate 9 could even outclass that of Google's and Samsung's flagship phones.

Huawei Mate 9 vs Google Pixel

Taking on Pixel, the newest Huawei Mate 9 is considerably of a larger design that is 5.9-inch in comparison to the latter's smaller physique of 5.0-inch. While some users might opt for the smaller and cheaper Pixel ($650 vs. $750), the camera of Mate 9 stands out with being dubbed as the "photographer's dream."

Its camera is built from dual Leica optics that gave its rear cam a whopping 20MP sensor for full-colored photos while a 12MP sensor to monochrome photos. It also has an aperture of f/2.2 with IOS and 2x zoom, Phase Detection Autofocus (FDAF), and a laser autofocus with a dual-tone LED flash. The front cam, on the other hand, sports an 8MP sensor with a f/1.9 aperture and wide angle lens. Android Headlines further noted that while Google Pixel will probably get the fastes software updates of all the smartphones in the market and that it runs on the latest technology of Artificial Intelligence with Google Assistant, its overall specifications seem dull compared to the Huawei Mate 9.

Huawei Mate 9 vs Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is a little bit of an older model, Huawei Mate 9 is conceptually more modern. As such, Android Pit noted that with the latter's dual-edge design, better resolution, and larger internal memory storage, it is the sharpest competitor, if not the best alternative, of Samsung's flagship phone.

Aside from the camera, of course, the design and specifications of the two phones are pretty much the same. The biggest difference, however, stand on Virtual Reality optimization of Galaxy S7 Edge as it is already provided with VR glasses while Huawei is still working on this improvement.

So, what phone are you most likely to buy? Would you choose Huawei Mate 9 as alternatives for your Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge?
