Despicable Me 3 Update: Trailer shows us a blast from the past villain
Despicable Me franchise started out in 2010 and introduced us with those cute little yellow things serving Gru and his three little girls. The franchise extended much to the sequel in 2013 wherein Gru finally met his wife. In 2015, the Minions had their own movie and now, Despicable Me 3 is set to take off. What can we expect as seen on the trailer?
According to AV Club, the trailer of the Despicable Me 3 showed very little scenes regarding the minions. Ofcourse, many might want to see those cute yellow blubs hit it off with each other and their music. However, the trailer focused more on the upcoming film's newest villain for Gru. The Anti - Villain League Headquarters were just monitoring the character as he is in the midst of a diamond heist. The man appeared to be a monster but someone uttered that "that's not a monster! That's a man wearing shoulder pads."
Apparently, that man is Bratt, voiced by South Park creator Trey Parker, as reported by Variety. He was described as moonwalking on the ocean and up the side of the ship on a pair of skis, while clad in purple jumpsuit and mullet. Additionally, this new villain is a former 80's childstar but his stardom suffered when he hit his puberty and changed career to world domination.
The fourth installment is surely to take theaters out as seen in the trailer but the theme of the Despicable Me 3 is said to be back to 80's as seen in the dance off of Bratt and Gru.
Despicable Me 3 is directed by Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin and is expected to hit theaters on June 30, 2017.
Stay tuned for more updates.
