‘Bond 25’ News: Next Bond Flick To Shoot In Croatia; Daniel Craig To Be Replaced As James Bond?
Good news for James Bond fans. A new action thriller film from the franchisee is reportedly setting up filming schedule in Croatia.
According to Digital Spy, the mayor of Dubrovnik has admitted: "James Bond is in an advanced stage of negotiations." The movie in question or "Bond 25" is going to be the 25th film in the James Bond film series. The release date is not confirmed but rumors are indicating towards a late 2017 or early 2018 date.
It has been reported that EON Productions have been looking around Croatia for potential locations for Bond 25. However, there has not been any official news on the return of Daniel Craig as James Bond in "Bond 25".
According to Express, Oscar-nominated actress, Naomie Harris has been hoping for Daniel Craig's return, though. Harris has acted in the role of Eve Moneypenny in the 2012 Bond flick "Skyfall" and then reprised the role in 2015 with "Skyfall".
"I think there's a very good chance that Daniel will come back, Express quoted "Moonlight" famed Harris. "I think it's way too early to be thinking about other people at this stage. If I was going to bet, that's the way I would bet."
Daniel Craig became the second longest-serving actor to play Bond, behind Sir Roger Moore. But while Craig has held the title for over a decade now, he has only appeared in four James Bond movies.
The 47-year old has previously admitted that if he ever reprises his role as James Bond, it would only be just for the money. As per The Guardian, Craig has also mentioned he would rather slash his wrists than do another Bond movie. The actor added that he is done with James Bond and is desperate to move on.
If Daniel Craig does officially refuse to be a part of "Bond 25" then fans do have some favorite replacements, though. Rumors are rife that Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner and other similar Hollywood hunks might get considered for the lead role in "Bond 25".
