World Cup: Leaked Video Reveals Lionel Messi’s Message Before Win
Lionel Messi might be back in Paris to play for Paris Saint-Germaine, but people are still talking about Argentina's World Cup victory and the celebrations that ensued. Now, a new video showed the Argentinian superstar saying a little prayer before his team sealed the victory.
The video showed Messi praying to his grandmother as Gonzalo Montiel was about to step up and play hero for Argentina during the penalty shootout.
According to The Mirror, the video showed Messi looking up at the sky and saying the words, "Puede ser hoy, abu," which means, "It could be today, grandma."
The PSG star was very close to his grandmother, Celia Olivera Cuccittini, and she was the person most instrumental in him playing soccer. She died in 1998 and it is said that whenever Messi points to the sky to celebrate a goal, he is dedicating it to her memory.

Soon, fans began retweeting his observation and his tweet went viral soon after. It gave fans a new perspective on Lionel Messi as he showed that he still loves and respects his grandmother long after she passed away.
According to Given Sport, one fan wrote that Messi loving his grandmother was something special while another said even Hollywood cannot top this script. Another admitted that hating Messi is impossible, while another fan wrote, "Right in the feels."
Celia Olivera Cuccittini was Messi's maternal grandmother, and she was the one who made things possible for the young Lionel. She encouraged a local coach to allow him to play with the bigger kids as many did not give him a chance as Messi was very undersized.
Messi got the ball and dazzled everyone, showing how gifted he was and showing that he would become a great player in the future. This might not have happened if his grandmother was not able to convince a local coach to let him play.
