Joe Biden Health: President Is 'Fit for Office,' Finds Annual Physical
US President Joe Biden underwent his annual physical exam. A team of doctors examined him and found that he continues to be "fit for duty" despite him being 81 years old. Currently, Biden is projected to be the Democratic nominee and is already the oldest US president in history.
"President Biden is a healthy, active, robust, 81-year-old male, who remains fit to execute the duties of the presidency, to include those as chief executive, head of state and commander in chief," said physician to the president, Dr. Kevin O'Connor. He added that "this year's physical identified no new concerns."
However, the president's health report did find a few health problems that are common for a man his age, including having a "stiff gait as a result of osteoarthritis." The report stated that this has not worsened. It was also noted that Biden has incorporated a ventilation mask for positive airway pressure to treat his sleep apnea.
However, as The Guardian noted, the report did not specifically address the president's cognitive or memory health. Dr. O'Connor admitted that President Biden had already been given "an extremely detailed neurologic exam," which was "again reassuring" with no findings of cerebellar or neurologic disorders. These include things like stroke and Parkinson's Disease.
The president has "peripheral neuropathy" in both feet, gastroesophageal reflux, allergies, and spinal arthritis that are treated with medication, per the report, but Dr. O'Connor has assured that Biden is feeling well and that "this year's physical identified no new concerns."
Joe Biden Continues Busy Routine After Passing Annual Physical Exam
Joe Biden would be 86 should he win a second term, and this has many in the US concerned if he is able to do his duties as the president. His age has led him to be scrutinized for his frequent gaffes, as well as other health concerns like his coughing and falls.

To show that he is really fit, Biden immediately returned to work after his physical, attending an event on combatting crime where he claimed that when it came to his health, "everything is squared away" and "there is nothing different than last year."
Biden, who regularly exercises to keep fit, even joked about the concerns surrounding his old age, saying, "People think I look too young."
Joe Biden Signs Executive Order Banning Several Countries from Purchasing US Data
The president continues his work even though there is much concern regarding his age. This includes his signing of a new executive order regarding the sale of personal data to other countries.
According to WIRED, the new executive order aims to prevent the sale of Americans' data to "countries of concern." These countries include Russia, China, and North Korea. Currently, other countries can buy sensitive information about Americans through commercial data brokers in the United States.
The ban would include preventing other countries from purchasing personal identifiers, precise location information, and biometrics. These have previously been used for "waging cyberattacks, espionage, and blackmail operations against the US."
