Actress Rosario Dawson adopted a 12-year-old girl in October, making the star a new mom, Page Six reports.

In an interview with Matt Lauer on the "TODAY" show, however, Dawson would not reveal a thing when asked about the rumors.

"I very rarely talk about tabloid speculation and this is not an exception. Mum's the word," she responded.

Dawson was adopted by her father when she was just 1 year old. In the past, she spoke out about wanting to adopt a child to pay it forward.

"That idea has stayed in the back of my head, but lately, I've been thinking about it more," she told Latina magazine in a 2008 interview. "My mother and grandmother are extraordinary women, and they're getting older. It struck me recently that one day I might be sitting around with my children, going, 'Your grandma was an amazing woman; I really wish you could've known her.' ... Whatever time I have, I want it."

Rosario recently was spotted at "The Five" film premiere afterparty Wednesday with long time platonic friend Chris Rock, Daily Mail reports. The two star in the comedy "Top Five," set to release on Dec. 12 according to Deadline. The 49-year-old actor and 35-year-old actress hope their chemistry will translate in the movie about a comedian who is trying to reinvent himself as a serious actor with the help of a journalist. Reports say that Rock wrote the role of the journalist specifically for Dawson.

"I completely trusted him. He knows his comedy and I know my drama -- it was a good fit," Dawson told Matt Lauer in an interview on the "TODAY" show.

Dawson is currently single after splitting with "Slumdog Millionaire" director Danny Boyle last year.

Jennifer Lopez, another Latina star, has said she is considering adoption as well.

"I might. I don't know. You never know," J. Lo told ET's Kevin Frazier in October. "With me, there's one thing you know: It's that you never know. We'll see, I don't know."
