Beyoncé dedicated a rare Tumblr shout out to Nicki Minaj for her birthday by posting a true throwback photo of the rapper.

"Happy Birthday Onika -B," the post read, featuring a a black and white year book photo of the female rapper.

This year, the Sagittarius celebrated her 32nd birthday.

Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to thank Beyoncé for the birthday wishes.

Beyonce is so EPIC for this. Thank you Bey! (laughing) at the picture but awwww @beyonce #flawless #feelingmyself she's #EVERYTHING. PERIOD. THE END. no, seriously, I love her. Who does stuff like this? Lol. Queen."

Beyoncé and Nicki became close friends after working together, Daily Mail reports. The rapper was featured on Bey's "Flawless Remix" track and performed with the mother of Blue Ivy's in Paris in September.

"It's every [man's] dream, fantasizing about Nicki and Bey," Nick raps on the track.

Nicki Minaj also turned heads this year with her "Anaconda" album cover and the dance scene music video with rapper Drake.

The female rapper rose to fame after being featured on Billboard's Hot 100 for seven songs at the same time making her a bit famous before releasing her album in 2010. Two years later, she released "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" and its sequel, performed at half-time for the Super Bowl and was named a new judge on Season 12 of "American Idol."

Nicki's childhood struggles played a huge role in her success because she would use different personas that would eventually evolve into Nicki Minaj, a different person than the girl she was born as; Onika Tanya Miraj.

This year the hip hop star has been enjoying a lot of success. However, Inquisitr reports she split with her longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels after 15 years of dating right around the time they were rumored to be getting married and having a baby.
