Univision's newest telenovela, "Que te Perdone Dios," kicked off on Jan. 19.

Here's what happened in episodes 1-5.

Episode 1:

Renata is in love with Pablo, and the two are secretly dating. They meet when he is not working, but she knows her family won't approve as Pablo works for her father.

One day, she is betrayed by Macaria, who tells Renata's father, Bruno, where to find Pablo and Renata. He walks in and sees the two kissing, and though he threatens to kill Pablo, Bruno ends up hitting him with his gun and knocking him out. 

Renata begs her father not to hurt the man she loves, and she confesses that she is expecting Pablo's child. Bruno later tries to burn down Pablo's home, but Pablo escapes and looks for Renata.

Episode 2:

Pablo finds out that Fausto is trying to marry Renata, and Pablo is set on making sure that doesn't happen.

Renata believes Pablo has died, but Macaria explains that he looked for her and was intent on taking her away, which makes Renata happy.

Fausto wants to talk to Bruno about marrying Renata, but Renata tells Fausto that she is pregnant with Pablo's child. Bruno is humiliated in front of Fausto, and he hits Renata for having spoken out.

Renata tells her father that he will never hear of her again, and Bruno tells her that Pablo is dead and she has nowhere to go. Constanza tells her husband that Pablo is actually still alive.

Macaria agrees to give Bruno more details about Renata. Macaria wants to take advantage of the fact that Renata confides in her.

Episode 3:

Macaria lies and says that Pablo has abandoned Renata. She tells Renata that Pablo accepted her dad's money to leave. When Renata confronts her father, he says what Macaria has told her is true.

Pablo is waiting for Renata, but she doesn't show up. Lucio comes and threatens him with a gun. Lucio wants to kill Pablo somewhere no one will ever be able to find him.

Renata is in disbelief about Pablo, but she tries to move on. All she is worried about is her baby.

Lucio makes Pablo dig his own grave, and Pablo begs for his life. But Lucio does not care, and then Fausto arrives. Before murdering him, Fausto tells Pablo that he is going to be a father, but that he will never meet his child.

After eight months, Bruno still wants his daughter to marry Fausto, but Fausto has one problem with the plan: He doesn't want to raise a child that is not his. Bruno knows he has to do something about the baby.

Renata gives birth to Abigail, and Bruno feels bad when he learns that it is a little girl. He offers Macaria more money to raise the child, and the two go and register the child as Macaria's.

Bruno tells Renata that she has to give up her daughter and let Macaria care for her. He threatens her by saying that if she doesn't follow his orders, then she will never see Abigail again.

Macaria apologizes to Renata and says she is only following Bruno's orders.

Episode 4:

Renata does as her father says, and returns home. Renata tries to tells Fausto that Abigail is Macaria's daughter, but he already knows Renata is Abigail's mother.

Fausto visits Renata and tells her that she would get her daughter back if they married. Renata is desperate to be with her daughter, so she accepts.

Renata's wedding day is a disaster. Renata and Fausto marry, and Bruno dies.

Renata and Fausto have decided to sleep in separate rooms, but Macaria is waiting for Bruno in his bed. The two kiss, and Fausto confesses to killing Pablo.

Renata asks Fausto to adopt Abigail, so that she can raise her daughter. Fausto says that doing it so suddenly would raise suspicion.

In his will, Bruno names Fausto the owner of all his properties, on the condition that he always take care of Renata. He also asks that Macaria is given her monthly pay for taking care of Abigail.

Meliton tells Renata that Pablo would never have abandoned her. Instead, Meliton believes that Pablo has been killed.

Eventually Macaria drops a bomb on Renata: "Your husband killed Pablo."

Episode 5:

Macaria wants to be with Fausto, so she tells Renata that Fausto killed Pablo. She thinks this will make her leave him.

Renata is trying to escape with her daughter. She wants to take her daughter, claiming that Abigail is sick, but Fausto will not let her leave. Renata is helped out by Constanza and Macaria, and she and her daughter are on a truck on their way out, but she gets caught after someone tells Fausto what she is doing.

The road is blocked off, and Fausto is not far behind. He almost kills her, but there would be too many witnesses.

Then the episode flashes forward, and Abigail is now a woman. Renata is blind after the accident, and Fausto tries to control Abigail.

Constanza has, meanwhile, become crazy after her husband's death. She still believes he is alive.

A small teaser has been released for Episode 6.

Abigail is beautiful, and Fausto has his eye on her, but now his nephew, Mateo, is back.

"Every day that passes, you are more beautiful," Mateo tells Abigail upon seeing her again.

Unfortunately for Abigail, Mateo has a girlfriend, who will not be very happy about Abigail and Mateo's friendship.
