CW's 'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers and News Update: Dr. Light May Appear in New Season
"The Flash" may be adding another character into the mix.
According to TVLine, Dr. Light, the Dr. Kimiyo Hoshi version, will be appearing in season 2 of "The Flash." The character has been rumored for some time, especially since both Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panbaker) mention the character in season two of "Arrow."
Fans however, should not expect the Arthur Light version of the character, as it seems the character will be female. The report notes that it will be a "female version" of the character.
In the comic books, the character is a supervillain who is a nemesis to the Teen Titans and the Justice League. He has also been portrayed as a menace or as a company in-joke for incompetent supervillains. Dr. Light also joins the "Suicide Squad" in the comics.
The female version however, is a good character who uses almost the same exact suit as the villainous Dr. Arthur Light. Also known as Kimiyo Hoshi, Dr. Light can control and manipulate light and is the next metahuman to make his way to Central City.
"The Flash" is currently in production and is currently casting. A number of characters are still unknown, and it is still a mystery as to who the main villain will be. However, it was recently revealed that the first episode will directly correlate with the final episode of last season.
The show is returning after huge acclaim and great ratings. Starring Grant Gustin, the show is the latest series created by DC Comics and has had multiple crossovers with "Arrow." CW is positive it can continue to do crossovers especially with the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow," which combines many heroes into one show and creates a mini Justice League.
"The Flash" also stars Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes.
"The Flash Season two" returns to CW on October 6.
