"Save by the Bell" star Lark Voorhies filed for divorce from her husband Jimmy Green just six months after they were married.

The 41-year-old actress and Green were wed in April in Las Vegas, after meeting on Facebook a year before, according to TMZ.

The relationship between the couple has been dysfunctional for some time. Voorhies' mother Patricia previously filed a restraining order against the actress' soon-to-be ex-husband in July, saying she lived in fear that he might "cause her physical harm."

In July, Voorhies and Green participated in an interview with Entertainment Tonight to talk about their new marriage. Voorhies claimed Green, who is a former gang member, did not take advantage of her in any way, saying, "We're selectively together for all the right reasons."

Green also commented on the couple's relationship in July, saying, "We're the same as any other couple out there that's in love and trying to accomplish business together. It's not a scam or a way to get money."

Patricia says Voorhies had been living with her since she was "psychologically, mentally, and emotionally fragile and is currently under a doctor's care." She also told People in 2012 that her daughter had been diagnosed as bipolar. Voorhies constantly denied she was suffering from the disorder and told ET, "I've always been mentally healthy."

The actress is now asking for the court to deny Green any spousal support.

Voorhies starred in the role of Lisa Turtle on "Saved by the Bell" from 1988 to 1993, and took that same role in "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" from 1988 to 1989. The actress was nominated for the Young Artist Award six times for her work on "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" and won twice in 1990 and 1993.
