Jessa Duggar recently explained why she and husband Ben Seewald have not yet named their newborn son.

The 23-year-old "19 Kids and Counting" reality star opened up in the new issue of People about her decision not to name her baby right away. She also recounted her experience being rushed to the emergency room in labor.

The couple revealed on Facebook on Monday that they "still haven't decided" on a name.

Duggar and Seewald welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Thursday, Nov. 5.

"We want to give him a strong name, with a lot of meaning," Duggar told the magazine.

Duggar also posted a picture to Instagram of the new baby with the caption, "Every time I look into this precious little face, I can't believe he's really mine! I feel blessed beyond measure! . . . P.S. Still haven't decided on his middle name! Looking forward to sharing with y'all as soon as we decide!"

While Duggar was pregnant, her 100,000 fans gave her some name suggestions for the baby. The TLC star said her favorite names were "of heroes from the Christian faith." She also said she won't use the "letter theme" of naming all her children with the same first initial, as her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar did with their 19 kids.

"He is going to have this name for the rest of his life," Seewald, 20, said of the pair's hesitance in naming their son.

"It's been really cool to meet him, look at his face and match a name to who he is," Duggar added. "It is going to be very special. A lot of thought has gone into it."

Exclusive photos of Duggar and Seewald's new baby boy will be featured in the new issue of People, which will hit newsstands on Friday, Nov. 13.
