The Chinese Internet company Tencent Holdings announced Tuesday that it has reached an exclusive deal with Time Warner's HBO network to stream their television shows.

What that means is, as long as a user has Internet and an HBO subscription, whether it be through their phone, through their high speed connection or even through their Xbox One, they will be able to watch HBO programming.
The new service will have commercials. CBS is going to start offering a new stand-alone service. CBS All Access, which will cost $5. 99 a month, will have full seasons of past CBS daytime and primetime shows.
In a move that undoubtedly will make cable-cutters and cable-nevers very happy, premium TV network HBO announced it will launch a stand-alone online television service in 2015 -- sans cable subscription.
