News of Spears's budding romance with Ebersol first surfaced in November after the "Toxic" singer shared an Instagram selfie with Ebersol and captioned the photo with a heart emoji.
Us Weekly and E! News were one of the many media outlets discussing Spears's new relationship. At the time, Us Weekly described Ebersol as "a sweet guy." Meanwhile, an E! News source added, "They are both very happy and having fun. It's just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious but right now they are having a lot of fun together."
Spears briefly addressed her new relationship to Extra during the celebration event for the first "Britney Day" in Las Vegas on Nov. 5.
"Yes, there is a special someone," Spears told Extra, adding that the relationship was "very new."
Prior to her relationship with Ebersol, Spears dated David Lucado, whom she broke up with in August. Following her breakup over the summer, Spears announced that she was single via Twitter.

She also announced the reason for her breakup during one of her "Piece of Me" performances in Las Vegas a few months ago.
"Well, by now everyone knows my boyfriend cheated on me, but the best part of breaking up is going on first dates," Spears told her audience, according to the Daily Mail. "OMG, OMG I need a hot guy. Where are the hot guys here tonight?"
