'Westworld' Season 2 Spoilers, Latest News: Ford is coming back? Creator teases Host version, what's next
That ending of "Westworld" definitely made all viewers jumped out of their seats. Here's a good news for fans who are hoping to see Anthony Hopkins in "Westworld Season 2" as all is not lost for Ford, who wrapped up the show with a bang.
Ford is like a God to the Hosts inside the park. He even achieved to create a Host version of his dead partner, Arnold, and also of his family and a younger version of himself. As such, fans with imaginative minds began speculating that there might also be a Host version of him that might appear in "Westworld Season 2."
Just as co-creator Jonathan Nolan confirmed that the one that has dies was only a version of Ford, fans can still expect of his return in the second season. As per Movie News Guide, Ford might possibly come back as a reverie. But a Host version is not that bad as well.
As further reported, Nolan answered this speculation during a Facebook Live broadcast about "Westworld Season 2." Although Nolan did not directly answer the question, he teased that Ford might have indeed created a Host version of himself in his secret underground lab with the help of the fabrication machine but Nolan emphasized that Ford's death was a real sacrifice.
As previously reported by Latin Post, Ford's death was necessary to usher the evolution of the sentient hosts.
"We've seen before, it's his voice that can control them, he has such complete control of these creatures, that kind of stepping out of that picture is one of the last things that he needs to do to complete his role in ushering them into existence," co-creator Lisa Joy said.
If ever a Host version of Ford is indeed in existence, how could this affect the plot of "Westworld Season 2"? The show is expected to arrive sometime in 2018 at HBO so stay tuned for more exciting updates!
