Taylor Kinney revealed on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" on Wednesday that Lady Gaga slapped him in the face when they first met.

The 29-year-old singer and "Chicago Fire" actor did not experience love at first sight. Instead, Kinney had somewhat of an uncomfortable moment on the set of Gaga's music video for "Yoü and I," according to E! News.

"I remember I went up, and we're rolling, and I kissed her and she didn't expect it," Kinney said to host Andy Cohen. "They cut, and she slapped me. And then it was just awkward. And then the next take, I just did it again and then she didn't slap me. She didn't slap me then."

Kinney noted the pair developed an obvious chemistry on the set of the late night shoot, which continued work until "four or five in the morning." The two exchanged phone numbers, kept in touch and eventually became engaged.

The 34-year-old actor proposed to the Mother Monster last Valentine's Day. However, the couple has yet to set a date due to their busy schedules.

"We've been engaged for less than a year," he said. "So, we've been talking about whether it's New York, Los Angeles, destination place so we don't have an exact date yet."

After Gaga accepted the proposal, she announced the news of their engagement two days later by posting a photo of her heart-shaped ring on Instagram.

When the couple first began seeing each other, they kept their relationship under wraps, but now are open about their love for each other. During Oscars weekend this year, Gaga couldn't help but express her excitement for their upcoming nuptials.

"We're just so excited to be engaged," Gaga told E! News.

While their first time working together was apparently a raucous experience, Kinney says he would enjoy working with Gaga again.
