During a recent interview with Norway's NRJ radio on Thursday, Selena Gomez revealed that she still has love for her on-again and currently off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber, Us Weekly reports.

"I definitely have so much respect and love for him," Gomez said, adding that her latest Bieber-inspired single, "The Heart Wants What It Wants," was "very therapeutic."

Gomez first performed "The Heart Wants What It Wants" at the American Music Awards last month. She began crying towards the end of her performance as a shadowed and blurred out image of what appeared to be Bieber surfaced on the stage's screen. AMA cameras even caught a close-up shot of Gomez mouthing the words "thank you Jesus" and letting out a huge sigh of relief at the end of her performance.

In conjunction with her AMA performance, Gomez also released a video diary online that she titled, "My AMA Diary," which details her experience prepping and rehearsing for her AMA performance, Entertainment Tonight reports.

"This performance is a little bit frightening," she says in the video. "When I had the intention behind the performance, I knew that I wanted it to be all of me, because somebody asked me a while ago, 'What's the one thing you wish people knew about you?' And I said I wanted it to be my heart."

Gomez then arrives on the red carpet.

"Everybody is there and all glamorous, so fun ... but then, I gotta be all emotional," she said. "Feels like a lump in my throat."
