‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ News: Angela Bassett, Lady Gaga Star in Sex Scene Together [Watch]
Angela Bassett made her debut on "American Horror Story: Hotel" in a sex scene with Lady Gaga on Wednesday.
The 57-year-old actress got into bed with Mother Monster in the steamy clip, according to the Daily Mail.
Bassett plays the role of Ramona Royale, a famous actress from the 1970s, in the new season of the show. The role, which seems to be based on the actress herself, sees her fall in love with Gaga's character, The Countess.
In the sex scene, Gaga appears in only her underwear and boots, lying on top of Bassett while the two lightly kiss and stroke each other. The Countess proceeds to take a blade from her gloves and cut her own breasts, allowing Bassett's Ramona to lick up the blood, before she says, "It was glorious."
In the episode, Ramona describes The Countess, saying, "She was this rarified timeless creature. She knew everything about art, literature, fashion. This was the world I wanted to live in. She promised I could -- forever."
Both stars then appear in another scene outside an elevator, where they share a passionate kiss, although they seem to be growing apart.
Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell's character, fashionista Claudia Bankson, is slaughtered with a knife in the same episode.
On "The Meredith Vieira Show" on Wednesday, the 29-year-old "Bad Romance" singer's fiancé Taylor Kinney said that her sex scenes make him feel a bit uncomfortable.
"It was awkward," Kinney said. "They had a really lovely premiere in Los Angeles the other week, and I was sitting next to her father and we were both kind of like, 'Wow! Good job, honey.'"
Gaga made her debut on "American Horror Story: Hotel," which was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, on Oct. 7.
Additional cast members for this season include Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, Max Greenfield, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Darren Criss.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" airs on FX Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
